Background
Mr. Thompson is a Professional Engineer with over 20 years' experience in Construction Management and Facilities Operations. Mr. Thompson has also served in a variety of senior management positions for engineering and contracting companies including Vice President, Controller and Chief Estimator.
Recent Experience
As Project Manager, Mr. Thompson was responsible for estimating, budget preparation
and presentation, vendor/subcontract negotiation, scheduling and close-out packages on
various projects involving: sodium hypochlorite feed system; potable water treatment
static mixers; sanitary sewer replacement; sanitary sewers, gravity and pump station
with force main; culvert/bridge; pipe lining of sanitary sewer, pre-fabricated pump
station and force main.
As a Construction Manager, Mr. Thompson was the primary construction executive on a
variety of general building projects ranging in size from $250,000 to $5,500,000.
Projects included: research facilities; hospital construction including cardiology
specialty facilities and psychiatric facilities.
As a Project Manager, Mr. Thompson completed a variety of office facilities
including: CT Department of Labor offices; offices for the Connecticut "renewal
team of Greater Hartford"; office for the Salvation Army; offices for the Hartford
Insurance Company; and offices for the EBI Company. These projects ranged in size from
$400,000 to $6,600,000.
As a Controller for a Connecticut-based construction firm, Mr. Thompson implemented
the "Timberline" Construction Accounting software; developed various
construction estimating programs; implemented various invoice and requisition programs;
automated the 401K program and handled the firm's Federal Tax audit.
