Background
As Project Manager, Mr. Strum has extensive experience in all aspects of design including proposal and initial program development; contract and construction administration; and project closeout. Mr. Strum is responsible for the management and preparation of design and construction documents for all phases of various Commercial, Industrial, and Residential projects.
Project Experience
- Responsible for the design of a new modular, pre-fabricated pre-school building and community center within the Town of Oyster Bay-Marjorie Post Park. Responsible for the drafting of construction documents, interior design and finish selection, as well as general project coordination.
- Responsible for the design and generation of plans to prepare for the development of the site-work related to athletic fields and support facilities to be constructed at the former Town of Oyster Bay-Sylvia Packard Middle School, in Plainedge, NY. Also involved in schematic representation of design proposal.
- Responsible for design through construction of a 5000sf Media Center and Library additions at Lincoln Avenue Elementary school in Sayville, NY. Developed architectural designs. Acted as primary interface with consultants, contractors and owners. Led on-site coordination of architectural activities. Ran construction meetings. Prepared progress reports and schedules.
- Designed the shell structure for new 100,000sf exposition space at Jacob Javits Center in New York City.
- Designed a 5000sf expansion of Suffolk County Sheriff’s Offices in Riverhead, NY.
