Background
Mr. Stos has been acting as a consultant to Sureties for over 15 years. Mr. Stos is a Construction Claims Specialist with extensive knowledge of HVAC systems, fire alarm systems, elevators and telecommunications systems. Mr. Stos also has specific technical expertise in electrical systems including industrial robotics and control systems, power and lighting. He is experienced in all phases of the construction industry including structural, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, electrical and general contracting.
Recent Project Experience
Construction management of a combined sewer overflow monitoring system in Pennsylvania.
Lead person for assisting Surety in completing its performance and payment bond obligations on fifteen projects in Puerto Rico. Services included: preparing reports and/or recommendations regarding financial assistance; analysis of payment bond claims; development of costs-to-complete schedule; project re-lets; accounting; project completion and cash-flow analysis.
Analysis and monitoring of a renovation and conversion of warehouse buildings into a nursing home. The project included extraordinary structural redesign, 98% of which was subcontracted.
Surety claims analysis for general contract work on an aircraft hangar and jet fuel systems storage facility at military facilities in New Jersey. Services included re-procurement of work, monitoring, negotiations and close-out.
Monitoring through completion of the general construction of a waste treatment facility in New York.
Monitoring and cost analysis through completion of underground utilities and electrical systems at a waste treatment facility in Massachusetts.
Management of the completion of fire alarm systems at six, branch libraries in Massachusetts.
