Ms. Schneider has over six (6) years of direct experience in a variety of multi-disciplinary environmental planning projects including site assessments, remedial investigations, vegetation analysis, wetland delineation, hazard mitigation and Environmental Impact Statements (EIS) for municipalities and private organizations. Ms. Schneider has worked closely with various local planning departments as well as the New York State Department of State Division of Coastal Resources, Fire Island National Seashore and the United States Army Corps of Engineers in preparing and procuring permits for various projects on Long Island.

Conducted an eelgrass survey in an environmentally sensitive area as well as other vegetation analysis, aviation observation, wetland delineations and general site investigations including preparation of sample resolutions for board review and "sample-negative" declarations as part of the State Environmental Quality Review Act "SEQRA" process.

Prepared and acquired available grant funding procuring $350,000 through the Long Island Sound Restoration Act (LISRA) under the category of aquatic habitat restoration for wetlands restoration and site improvements; and $100,000 for drainage and erosion control projects.

FEMA floodplain and analysis of special flood hazards for project sites, preparation of numerous Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPPs) for coverage under the State Pollution Discharge Elimination System (SPDES) General Permit for Construction Activity Coastal Zone Management Compliance and utilized local waterfront revitalization programs to scope out project plans and permits for various municipalities, school districts, and fire districts.

Industrial Waste Pre-Treatment Enforcement Coordinator responsible for: inputting Chain of Custody information into Microsoft Access Database; analyzing results of sample data: writing letters of noncompliance to various facilities discharging to sewers under Suffolk County DPW jurisdiction; and researching the causes behind factors leading to noncompliance (e.g. Acetone violation problems in pharmaceutical companies' wastewater discharges).
