Background
Mr. Flynn is a LEED Accredited Professional with the capability to guide a project through the Green Building Certification Institute (GBCI) certification process. Mr. Flynn has six years experience as a surety claims analyst providing claims review and analysis for sureties and the legal community. Mr. Flynn's work is concentrated in the area of Performance and Payment Bond Claims; and development of systems and procedures for management of large-scale litigation programs including document management.
Recent Project Experience
- Coordinated and prepared expert reports and exhibits for claims involving construction of a new college facility in downtown Manhattan, NY. Work included: coordination of numerous experts; coordination and control of documents; and assistance with the creation of extensive expert reports addressing a variety of issues.
- Assisted with an acceleration claim relative to a large, new hospital construction project in New York City. Work included coordination of project and review and control of exhibits and documents.
- Coordination, administration and adjudication of several claims related to the construction of a New York City Transit Authority bus maintenance facility.
- Research assistant at the U.S. Geological Survey in regional, geochemical, pollution study. Provided technical lab and field assistance to professional scientists. Services included: remote core and grab sample collection; analysis of samples for carbon content; construction of analytical spread sheets; reduction, quality assurance and quality control of data; and creation of plots and graphs for data analysis.
- National Science Foundation-funded research fellow in remote area of Glacier Bay National Park in Alaska. Assisted in sample collection, and section measurement while completing two weeks of fieldwork and a semester-long research project. Presented results of research at the Northeast Geological Society of America section meeting.
- Assisted with the investigation into the propriety of default of one of the nation’s largest defense contractors on a New York City transportation security project. Work included interviewing project personnel, research and review of various project components, coordination and control of documents, analysis of contract provisions and preparation and presentation of various summary reports.
